How was everyone’s weekend? Did you all survive the fall back? I know it can mess up a lot of people’s schedules – especially kiddos – but I freaking loved it. I’ve needed an extra hour in just about every day the last few months, so it was like my prayers were answered. I had to knock out a work project so it was even better – felt like I didn’t have to take too much time out of the day to get it finished up.
The most eventful part of my weekend was a little low-key girl’s night on Friday which was much needed. I’m sure there’s a ton of you that can relate to the struggle it is trying to get together these days. Trying to get everyone’s schedules straight is a modern miracle so it was nice to have the stars align for a dinner date. Lots of wine, lots of catching up, lots of good laughs. Otherwise, we spent the rest weekend doing a whole lot of nothing – which was glorious. I feel like we’ve been running non-stop for the last two months so it was great to have a lazy weekend. Plus, Miami won on Saturday night so this weekend got an A+ in my book.
And I can’t forget to give a huge, giant thank you to everyone for the kind words on this Southern Living 50 Most Stylish Southerners feature. When I got the email from them, I audibly squealed at my desk. It’s such a great group of people (including a couple other Louisvillians) and I was over the moon to be included. Thanks so much to everyone for their kind words and sweet words – it meant so much to feel all the support. After doing this for what feels like a super long time, sometimes I think it might be time to pull the plug. Especially the last couple months where I’ve been stretched a little thin, so this was the burst I needed to get inspired again.
