Oh hey Friday, good to see you.

Seriously, this week has gotten the best of me. As much as I love summer (and boy, do I love summer), I am craving the routine of fall and school. Spontaneity may be the spice of life but it is much more difficult when you’ve got three people you’ve got to pick up by 5:30.

And while I’m certainly in no rush for cold weather, I think we’d all welcome a little relief from the swamp like conditions we’re dealing with right now. Yesterday I went out for a run and was sweating before I took the first step. Sorry, I digress…

Basically I just want to be able to wear my jeans without fear of passing out. Especially since I just picked up two pairs of Old Navy’s Rockstar jeans and they are all I’ve been wearing for the last week. I’m loving the mid-rise fit because you can move around (read: sit down and get back up) without having to adjust constantly. They also help was I deal with a little of the left over baby weight (can someone just come and wipe that out please?). They also come in just about every wash possible. I got this medium rinse color but after wearing this all week, I’m eyeing the black pair in the high-rise fit for fall.

I got my pair (along with this tank in three colors) when I was supposed to be shopping for back to school clothes for Reese. I’d be willing to say that 90% of Reese’s clothes are from Old Navy and if they made everything she owns in my size, I’d buy it. Like this ruffled jacket, I mean – it is the cutest. And check out this blouse. She would already have it if I had spotted when I stopped in… now I have it in my cart. Oh and the sandals she’s wearing are sold out but no joke, I’ve had at least five people ask if they carry the same ones for women. Sadly they didn’t, I checked.

More importantly, they have the best basics – leggings, plain t-shirts with no cutesy slogans, tons of stripes and simple shoes. Now that I’m talking about it, I ended up getting on the site and adding way too much stuff to my cart. I can expect a giant box of adorable pint size blouses in five to seven days. Whoops.

p.s. – Reese clearly steals the show in this post. Also, I promise to cool my jets on all the content with the kiddos – it’s just with back to school season upon us, it was hard to resist.

On Reese: All Old Navy –  Twill Peplum Hem Anorak | Medium Wash Skinny Jeans | Pink Stripe Swing Tank | Lace Up Sandals (old, these are too cute though)

Old Navy Toddler Girls Military Jacket

On Me: All Old Navy – Relaxed Muscle Tank  | Rockstar Mis-Rise Medium Wash Skinny Jeans | Military Vest (old, I’ve had this puppy for years – case in point, this back in the day post) – similar here
