First things first, thank you all for the feedback on my over-apologizing post. It seems like it struck a chord, I’m glad I’m not the only one wandering through this world apologizing, worrying and overusing phrases like “i was just wondering…” It’s a daily battle but here’s to not minimizing ourselves all the damn time anymore.
Next up… it’s Friday and I’m throwing my hands up in the air like Miley Cyrus ready for a Party in the USA. Sike. I really just want to crawl into my bed and take a weekend-long nap. Daylight savings time really hit me hard this time around.
It’s been a long week. Daylight savings, the election, the now regular news of another senseless shooting. And that was all before even getting out of bed. On a personal note, it’s been one of those hand-to-forehead weeks where a lot of small inconveniences piled up one after another, getting more frustrating as it went on. Nothing big enough to really tip the scales on its own (although my car dying did swing things a little), just one of those weeks that doesn’t go your way. No complaints though, just putting it behind me and moving on to the weekend.
On a brighter note, I’ve teamed up with a crew of bloggers to give away a $750 Amazon gift card. It’s not the Powerball but it would go a long way in holiday gifts. On an outfit note, these are a lot of my favorite things. Comfy tee, layered with a jacket, cropped jeans and a good pair of boots. I totally copied my friend Amanda with these. I saw her in them, loved them and then later that day just happened to pass by them at the mall. I decided to treat myself and snagged them. The color on them is so good, plus they are amazing quality for under $150. Not a steal by any means, but not unreasonable for a pair of boots you’ll get tons of wear out of this season. Sike, I just found them on sale for under $85 so go grab them (they come in black too).
