If I Were An Outfit… And 34 More Fun Facts

Mar 17, 2018

I figured if I was going to share an outfit that was quintessentially me, I might as well do it on my birthday. Happy Birthday to me!

Seriously though, this outfit is all of my favorite things wrapped into one perfect ‘fit. Stripes (with a lemon for Lemonade no less), a utility jacket (with the cutest gingham lining), basic denim and sneakers – always sneakers. Pretty basic but when you know what you like and what works for you, you stick with it.

Back to the birthday. As an only child, I’m pretty hype about my birthday and the fact that it’s on St. Patrick’s Day doesn’t help. Pretty excited to spend it watching basketball, drinking beers and enjoying a little time to pretend I don’t have a house full of kids and a mountain of of laundry at home (just for a few hours).

Since I don’t often share silly fun facts or about me stuff over here, I thought it might be fun to do one in honor of another turn around the sun. So here’s 34 fun facts about me (and yes, I am getting old as mold).

Vineyard Vines Spring Anorak
South Parade Lemon Stripe Tee | Gola Sneakers
Banana Republic Distressed Jeans
LOFT Square Sunglasses

So many of you all ask me on Instagram about these sunglasses – they were the best LOFT 40% off find ever. They are pretty solid Karen Walker dupes and you won’t feel bad if you scratch them or end up losing them after a couple months.

34 Super Random Fun Facts
  1.  What was your favorite TV show growing up? Full House, Fragglerock, Duck Tales (still wishing for a Scrooge McDuck pool of gold coins)
  2.  What was your favorite toy as a kid? Teddy Ruxspin (sp?)
  3.  How old is the oldest pair of shoes in your closet? 10 years old. This fab pair of Marc Jacobs platforms that I’ll always love. They were the first fancy designer shoes I ever bought.
  4. Can you play any instruments? Not anymore but I randomly used to play the xylophone in fifth grade. I was the only kid in my grade that stuck with it (NERD ALERT) and I took lessons in the morning by myself. I made it to this state band thing in Florida but skipped it to go on a class trip. My teacher was obviously a little disappointed. I never played it again.
