The other day, as I walked into a dressing room with an armful of sweaters my friend Amanda asked me, “have you been way more into sweaters this year?” and I emphatically responded, “YES!” Anyone else out there feel the same way? Last year, I feel like I was wearing way more blazers and jackets with blouses or long-sleeve tees and vests but sweaters were a very distant third. But this year, every damn day it’s a sweater. I can’t get enough. Light sweaters, chunky sweaters, cropped sweaters, tunic sweaters. I want them all.
This one has been in heavy rotation because it is just that good. It’s light weight and perfect for layering, the camel color goes with everything, the length is just right (not too long, not too short) and the little tassels make it fun. It’s a bit of a splurge but I don’t mind spending a little more when it’s more of a classic closet staple. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it every time I wear it and people are always blown away when I say it’s Lilly Pulitzer. As much as I love their prints for summer, I think this sweater may be my favorite of theirs.
