Is it bad that it’s Monday and I’m already looking ahead to the weekend?
I know a lot of us are still recovering from this past weekend. Most fun people went to Forecastle. I, on the other hand, spent the weekend at a swim meet. Kids have officially taken over my life. But enough of that and on to what we’re here for today – Made Market.
I’ve long been a fan of this event which features both Louisville-based makers as well as those from around the region. It’s a curated (i.e. – no junk) handmade market and it’s back for summer. This year’s event – which is this Saturday, July 21st – is the biggest yet and will have more than 60 amazing makers selling their goods. Plus there will be food and drinks to enjoy while doing a little shopping.
The holiday market is always one of my favorite spots to pick up cute gifts that are unique and special. I haven’t been to a summer market yet but after looking at the full list of vendors, I know it will be a good one. So much cute stuff. I always end up grabbing a new piece of jewelry and something special for the house like a new piece of art or a new plant.
This tote is from Louisville-based Anchal Project who will be selling their beautiful textiles, scarves, totes and accessories. I’ve been carrying this almost every weekend since I got it. It’s the perfect size and I can’t get enough of the print. I may swing by and pick up one of their throws. And how fun is this succulent arrangement from Bloomed Roots? I ended up buying this for one of my clients to keep in their AirBnB. It basically works wherever you put it. I kind of want five to sprinkle throughout my house.
Definitely make plans to swing by this weekend. Hoping to see some of you all there!
