Pretty excited to kick off a new post series today – the #ootd.
Basically, I love doing the Derby Dress of the Day series so much (and based on feedback, I think you all do too) and I miss it when it’s over. So I figured instead of finding a dress a day, I’d just put together an outfit of the day and where you can wear it. Plus it’s an easy way to update you all on the latest sales and my shopping favorites. And if you all have events coming up or on the hunt for something in particular, you can drop me a line (firstname.lastname@example.org), I’ll hunt down some looks and share it here. So we all win, right?
This morning, I opened up my email and was greeted to the news of another epic LOFT and Ann Taylor sale. I may or may not have taken the bait and snagged this dress and this top. I also spent more time than I’d like to admit searching through the sites to narrow down my favorites. I mean, when things are marked down an extra 40% and 60% off, respectively, it’s hard to fight the urge to shop. I didn’t end up getting these orange blossom shorts but they were hard to resist. Hoping someone I know snags them cause they are so freaking cute and then wears them to Sunday brunch. Obviously it’s doubtful that will happen but a girl can dream.
How cute is this getup? Throw it on for brunch, a day at a street or art fair or for a backyard party. I am obsessed. The best part, this entire outfit is under $100. Yup. The shoes are the most expensive part and they’re only $55.
Even better, you can mix and match each of these pieces with tons of things in your closet. This blouse under a blazer or tucked into a bright pleated skirt. The espadrilles with white jeans and a stripe tee. I could go on but I’ll quit since we could be here all day.
And I can’t take up your time when you need to be shopping these sales…
