Coming in hot from Spring Break which I’m not super happy to report is significantly different as a parent than as a kid. Way more cleaning, laundry and cooking and definitely not as much day drinking on the beach. It doesn’t help that, of course, Kiawah Island had a big cold snap. Hanging with eight (yes, eight) kids while trapped inside on a cold, rainy day is enough to make you rethink your plans.
No complaining here though, we’re by the water and away from daily responsibilities so that’s always a plus. And there’s still some day drinking. And any is better than none.
But on to the reason you’re here. Since Derby prep doesn’t stop and Easter is coming up (feels so late this year), we’re coming in hot with one that works for both. It’s the perfect bubble gum pink and fits really well. Love the mix of the higher neckline and the fun peplum skirt. And the price is right, coming in at under $150. It works just as well for the Kentucky Oaks pink-out as it does for a Spring wedding or Easter brunch with the family.
Speaking of Easter brunch, if you don’t have plans or are looking for a new option, the Omni Louisville is hosting their first Easter Brunch. I feel like we do the same thing every year so this year we’re switching it up and heading downtown.
There will be an expansive menu for adults alongside a kid’s buffet as well as activities, a photobooth with the Easter bunny and live music. It’s $59 for adults and $24 for kids with $5 from every person donated to WHAS Crusades for Children. There will be three seatings – 10 am, Noon and 2 pm; reservations can be made by calling Aubrey Walker at 502.625.1503.
You can even make a Staycation out of it and book a room for the weekend.
If you come at noon, you’ll see me and my crazy crew trying our best to get a decent pic with the Easter Bunny.
That dress is so pretty.
