You guys, I got tickets to Heather McMahan and I feel like that’s really all I need to accomplish today. Pack it up and call it a day, I’m done here. If any of you tried to get tickets, you know that it was WILD. The Kentucky Center website was crashing, tickets were in my cart, then they weren’t. I was on my phone, my computer, my friend’s computer, nothing was working. So you know what? I went old school, picked up the phone and called. Scored VIP tickets in the front row and it felt like I won a gold medal.
It was pure comedy at my office. I got so much anxiety that I wasn’t going to get tickets that I was sweating and had to take off my jacket. Yes, I am a crazy person but I love me some Heather McMahan. I’m not a johnny come lately either, this post from last year was my original fan girl moment.
Lynsey and I went to her show in St. Louis and it was beyond fun so I can’t wait til she comes to Louisville in April. Now I need to go buy some more leopard print.
Okay but first, this BB Dakota dress from Evereve is one of those things I saw and knew I needed to have hanging in my closet. I originally spotted it in their catalog and folded down the page. You know the same way you used to mark up the Delia’s catalog in middle school. I’m a sucker for a good polka dot and the fit, color combo and length were all right up my alley. I’m also loving that I can wear it now, like below, with boots and a jacket but will still be able to break out for spring and summer.
It runs true to size but is a little tight in the bust/shoulder area. So if you’re larger on top, you may want to size up. Can’t recommend it enough, it’s hanging in the front of my closet and makes me smile whenever I see it.
Oh and before I dip out to go bask in the glow of my Ticketmaster triumph, I have to talk about this bag. It’s a bit of a splurge but something I genuinely love and get so much wear out of. It’s a crossbody but is surprisingly roomy, holds tons of stuff. and has a magnetic closure. I love the black/brown combo because it goes with almost everything. The only thing I don’t love is the little chain that hangs down. Sometimes it gets on my nerves and I’ve considered removing it. It comes in a ton of color options if the black/brown isn’t your thing. The pink is really cute for this time of year and I love the gray option too.
