Required Reading: Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler

Happy March friends! March is, by far, my favorite month of year. Mostly because it’s usually just a big party combination of my birthday/St. Patty’s day and the NCAA Tournament. In my mind, that equates to all things that are good ( to me at least – i’m guessing if it’s not your birthday and you hate basketball, your opinion may be a little different).

This year Mardi Gras also falls into the month and I’m making a promise to myself to go next year. I went a few years back and get the itch to go again every year around this time. Instead I’ll probably just end up eating my weight in King Cake.

This weekend, I’m hoping to tackle some of those small projects that we haven’t gotten around to in the madness – silly things like framing and hanging pictures, getting D3 settled into his new room and finding a few essentials to spruce up the place. Otherwise I am going to be soaking up the relaxation after the madness that was Disney World.

Here’s a little of what I’ve been loving on the interwebs in the last week.

* I’m a little behind on this but a big congrats to Lindsey {Caviar Taste, Tuna Wish Wallet} on the exciting news that she’s expecting. What a chic little mama she will be

* Pretty jealous that Ashley’s {SideSmile Style} able to rock this spring romper already.

* Looking for another fabulous Pinterest pinner to follow? Look no further than my gal Jes {Ryzenberg On}. Always on point with pretty, fashionable and colorful pins.

* My birthday wish list may only consist of one item this year – hello spring.

* Fellow Louisville lady Miranda {The Chic Street} kills it in this look. The coat alone has me swooning.

* Definitely trying this hair trick ASAP. Thanks Grace {Stripes + Sequins} for the tip.

* Nikki {My Style Diaries} looking ever so chic in this Sanctuary ensemble.

* Coveting this water bottle that Becky {The Fluff Report} rounded up with some other fitness goodies. Now if only I could find my lost FitBit (they need to add a tracking device to those things).

* Hallie {Corals and Cognacs} writes one of my favorite blogs to read and became an even bigger favorite after getting the chance to finally meet last year. Girl is just real and her big city adventures are endlessly entertaining. Love this Q&A she did, want the shirt she’s wearing in it and saving this quote from it: “Don’t get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.”

Local gals (and ladies looking to visit for Derby), I’m already working on posts and projects to help get you Derby ready. I’ll be starting the “Derby Dress of the Day” feature again towards the end of the month too. But if you’re already on the hunt for a great dress – I’ve started collecting some of my favorites (so far) over here on Pinterest.

Let me know if there’s something you’d love to see over here to help you get Derby ready! Until then, laissez les bons temps rouler.
