The Big Fake Wedding Coming to Louisville

Sep 25, 2018

If you’re a bride-to-be or know someone who is, this post is for you. The Big Fake Wedding is coming to Louisville and I’ve got some free tickets for you.

The Big Fake Wedding is a twist on the bridal show with a fully immersive wedding instead of rows and rows of booths. It’s a totally unique experience that features more than a 1,000 hand curated vendors annually across 30+ events in 25 cities. It’s coming to Louisville for the first time Thursday, October 4th at 21c Museum Hotel.

Instead of making random small talk with vendors at booths, guests will get to see vendors in action, providing their services just as they would at a real wedding. Attendees get to be the “wedding guests” and hear the music, watch the vows, taste the cakes and smell the flowers while enjoying a night of food, dancing and the occasional surprise. It’s a great way for brides and grooms to get inspiration as well as find trusted local vendors.

Since starting in 2008, it’s been featured on tons of wedding sites like 100 Layer Cake, Green Wedding Shoes, Brides, Junebug Weddings and The Today Show.

If you’re wondering who the happy couple are, the bride and groom are an already married pair who will renew their vows during the ceremony. So it’s featuring real love, just a second time around.

And now for the vendors, it includes a lot of local favorites including Rose & Thistle, Steel City Pops, Bloomed Roots, More than Lovely, Field Photo and Gretchen Bell Photography. If you want to see the full list of vendors, they’re all showcased over here. The theme for the Louisville event is Retro Surf Club and I am in love with the inspiration board. They are going for an eclectic and bold vibe with the feel of a refined 1970’s California hotel bar. I was sold when I saw the fresh, fun color palette. I can’t wait to see pictures.

And now for the tickets… If you’re interested in attending, you can save $25 and get one of a limited amount of free tickets by clicking here and using the code LOUWHATWEAR – these are first come, first serve though so grab them quick! Tickets include cocktail-style dinner, a signature drink, and a swag bag (woo! wooo!).
