Oh hey … it’s me over on the blog again. You know, just promising to post more regularly and then getting hit in the face by life.
But even without the bustling around, there’s been plenty of opportunities to have some fun now that we’re getting back to a normal looking summer. And that means drinks with friends, casual backyard dinners, pool parties, you know the drill. As much as I love going to a party, I tend to stress the F out when it comes to getting dressed for them. You can usually find me freaking out and trying on everything in my closet before going back to the first thing I put on.
That is until I picked up this simple $25 dress. Without a doubt it’s the easiest thing to dress up or down for every summer occasion. Just add a delicate gold necklace and strappy heels and boom! You’re ready. Don’t want to wear heels, toss on white sneakers or flat sandals, throw your hair in a pony tail and done. Want to be more colorful? Add bright earrings and colorful heels, there you go. Or just throw it on over your bathing suit and hit the pool.
Speaking of the pool, it’s legit the only place I want to be these days to escape my email inbox and responsibilities while catching up on my reading. Just finished Leave the Wold Behind (yes, I catch the irony in the name) and it was so good. Had my hooked from the very start. It was a little unnerving and left me thinking about it long after the last page.
And before I get back to reality, one more thing. You can’t see it super well but this gold shell necklace is making all my dainty, layering necklace dreams come true. It’s a longer chain, so you can easily pair it with more of your standard simple necklaces. I love it so much and haven’t taken it off since getting it a couple weeks ago.
