High Tops + Rain Checks

I wrote this whole long blog post yesterday about happiness and finding joy in small things. It was a post that really resonated with me right now and I was happy to get a bunch of stuff off my chest. And then today, I went to add the pictures to it and all the words were gone. I thought I hit save but must have closed my computer before it went through.

To stick with my sentiments from yesterday’s post, I’m not going to let it ruin my day but gah, that’s so annoying and incredibly frustrating. Reminds me of back in college when you’d work on a paper for hours and then your computer would crash and you’d be stuck starting all over again. Thankfully there are no grades or hard deadlines associatedย  with yesterday’s rambling, but still, so annoying.

Since I don’t have the patience or time to recreate that post now, I’m going to save it for another day and chalk it up as a loss.

Instead of getting deep and sharing some realness today, I’m just going to share this outfit and my love of high top sneakers. Sorry, that’s all I’ve got for ya.

I do really love high top sneakers though. They are practically all I buy for Reese (case in point) but haven’t committed as heavily for myself. I’ve had this pair of Vans for a year or two and I have a more modern black pair but have decided that another pair is in my future for fall. I love how they’re a little more youthful without going full ripped jeans or crop top but also a little old school. Plus it’s not like you need to do a lot of convincing for me to buy another pair of sneakers.
