Outfit Post: Prep School

Yesterday, I teamed up with Jaclyn and Whitney at Dixie Design Collective on a really fun project that I am beyond excited to share with you all soon! It’s a little Valentine’s Day treat for readers but if you want a sneak peek you can check out some of my snaps on instagram (or for a better look, check out jaclyn’s instagram).

Today though, it’s back to the inspiration board. My promise for the month is that if the look was inspired by a picture than I will post it. Later today I’m getting my hair done so I lacked the motivation to get it together this morning – my apologies in advance for the mess.

I went looking for some fresh inspiration last night and added a few looks to my pinterest board (you can see pics of what I’ve already tried and what’s to come). I decided that it was a little too cold for this look so I opted for this instead.

I love the navy blazer in the original but I, unfortunately, don’t have that basic in my closet so I opted for the brighter blue one I wore here last week. I also swapped out the color of the plaid and added a little sparkle. Now this look obviously isn’t ground breaking but I like it as an alternative to a basic tee or white button-down. Definitely a comfy option for a day behind the desk.

Have you all been tapping into your closet this month? I’d love to see your outfit inspiration – send me some pics and I’ll share them here. danielle @ louwhatwear.com
