Louisville Fun Things: Taste of Louisville

Sep 17, 2019

Foodie friends – here’s the event for you. The 46th annual Taste of Louisville will be back on Wednesday, October 2nd at Milewide Brewing Company.

Taste of Louisville, presented by the Kentucky Restaurant Association, is a chance to sample delicious bites and drinks from some of Louisville’s best restaurants including Brasserie Provence, Napa River Grill, Varanese and Bourbons Bistro.

I’ve only been once – I feel like every year I have a schedule conflict – but had the best time eating and drinking my way through Louisville. And the food isn’t a bunch of tiny portions, it’s big bites from restaurants of all types. You can expect bites and cocktails from more than 60 different vendors, so you won’t go home hungry. While you’re working your way around the room, make sure to remember your favorites since they’ll be vying for titles in three categories: Sweet, Savory and Swig.

General admission tickets are $65; this year, for the first time, they’ll be offering 100 VIP ticket at $100 each.  VIPs will have the opportunity to sample restaurants and vendors before the general public while enjoying exclusive demonstrations and tastings in the VIP tent.

Whether you’re new to Louisville or have lived here for years, this is a great way to try out a ton of local restaurants in one night. It would take you a full year of dinner dates, happy hours and work dinners to try all of these individually.

I won’t be able to make it AGAIN this year (so bummed) but I’m hoping a bunch of you all grab tickets and go so I can live vicariously through your posts on Instagram.
