This time change mess is really making this Monday way more difficult than it should be. Anyone else with me? I can’t complain though – this weekend was a fun one topped off with Drew and my best pals conspiring on a surprise 30th (boo for getting old but yay for parties) birthday party. To say I was surprised would be a massive understatement. I wish I had some pictures to share but in between a never ending game of Left Right Center and other St. Patrick’s themed shenanigans, I didn’t get to snap any. I had been kind of bummed about being out of town next weekend (for a wedding) over my birthday – so this more than made up for that.

So I’m not sure we’re quite ready for this but I’m just going to go for it. Today things stop being polite and start getting big. And by big, I mean I took some new outfit pics last week (and have since worn the 5 outfits I shot in succession since other than leggings, I am struggling with new outfits these days). I’ll be making fewer outfit appearances lately since we’re getting into the final weeks (or at least I like to pretend the last 10 weeks are the final ones) – so there’s that.

Basic black has been my go-to (this should come as no surprise, since you may have seen this and this and this) and last week was no exception. I wore this look to work last week for a day full of meetings but to give it a little lighter (color obviously), I threw on this coat. I’d had this lurking in the back of my closet and after some spring cleaning, I rediscovered it – just in time to wear it once before temperatures warm up.

In other random news, Derby Dress of the Day is making a comeback this afternoon – so stay tuned for that. Make it a good one!
