It’s not even August yet and I feel like every store is trying to make fall happen. Can’t we just linger in summer a little bit longer? C’mon people, I have a bucket list to work on. I’ve got a whole month left of pool weekends to soak in before it’s all football and sweaters.
I love me some summer so much so that it’s left me woefully behind over here on the blog. I’m always trying to keep three balls in the air – work, the blog and family/friends/life. Usually there’s only time for two, so I’ve neglected my duties over here in exchange for swim meets, dinners with friends, getting back on track working out and just spending time with the kids and friends. It’s been a welcome relief but I’ve started to miss this corner of the internet so I’m going to try to get back on track. Especially with more local news and fun. I know that’s something I say a lot but it’s really the truth. Running this thing is a struggle and unfortunately can fall to the bottom of my list more often than not. It can be frustrating some times because I have such good intentions and well-laid plans but then life happens and I’m stuck in a never-ending inbox, driving small humans around like Miss Daisy and cleaning up messes. So. many. messes. I appreciate you all bearing with me. It doesn’t go unnoticed. You all are the best. Truly.

Seriously, I wish they would add this dress online because it is, hands down, my favorite thing I’ve bought all summer. The pattern is great, it’s super flattering and really, really comfortable. If they made it in other colors, I’d buy it in every one. It’s the perfect dress.
Since they don’t, I’ve found a few others that I love that are still available in a ton of sizes. This gingham one may be getting added to my cart as soon as I hit ‘publish’ on this post. You could easily wear it well into fall and it would be just as cute with booties as it is now over a swimsuit with sandals. This palm jumpsuit is adorable and so fun. You could throw a blazer over it and wear it for work or drinks when it’s a little chillier. And this lace number is perfect for late-summer weddings. Another one I may need to add to my order.
