I feel like there’s been a little bit of a debate happening over on social media in the last few days on whether you believe Labor Day is the end of summer or if you’re a hold out for September 21. Personally, I’m in the camp that says so long to summer on Labor Day. Mostly because the pool closes, football is on and school is back in session. It’s back to the routine.
But I know there are a lot of people out there up in arms about the premature send off of summer. And to those people, I feel like I’m in your camp too. See you won’t find me buying pumpkin spice anything or pulling on a pair of boot until Mother Nature calls for it. I can’t even look at the Halloween candy on the shelves of stores and these 90 degree temps are making sure that my chunky knits stay in the back of the closet. When I saw people at the football game last weekend in jeans, I nearly fainted for them. Granted we were in Florida, but still.
This outfit is basically how I feel about this inbetween season limbo. I’m not ditching my sandals just yet and I certainly can’t go for any heavy sweaters but a super light-weight one can make it’s way into the rotation – especially since we’ve talked about how it’s freezing in my office.
Okay I know I’ve talked a lot about this bag. A LOT. But you guys, I get so many compliments on it and people asking what brand it is, you should see the look on their faces when I say it’s from Target. It’s less than $40 and makes the best “carry all the crap” bag. No lie, last week I had my computer, planner, full make-up bag, two pairs of kids shoes and about five other random things and you wouldn’t have known (unless you were dying under the weight of it like me).
