Derby Style: Down to the Finish

May 5, 2017

Happy Derby Weekend! It’s Oaks Day here in the Bluegrass – and yes, it’s rainy but like I said before, do not let it ruin your day!

Yesterday, I hit up the track for Thurby – despite the rain, the track was packed and people were having a mint julep of a good time. Of course, I got all dolled up and didn’t even care if I looked a little silly in an all-white dress on the dreary day.  I wish I had more than a grainy mirror selfie but I promise to share it when I do the full Derby round-up on Monday.

Speaking of the round-up, make sure to tag me in your pics (@louwhatwear) or use the hashtag #LWWDerbyStyle to be included in Monday’s annual feature.

Now that your hats have been picked, your dresses delivered and your plans solidified, it’s time to sit back and enjoy the best weekend in the bluegrass! Here’s a look at this year’s Derby Style series. I hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed putting it all together.  A big thanks to Headcandi, Jill Courtemanche Millinery, Dress & Dwell, Rye, Primp Style Lounge and Vineyard Vines for all their help with this year’s posts.

And if you’re not here for Derby this year, make plans to come for Kentucky Derby 144!
